Rev Benjamin Lau

Pastor

"My heart is to equip every generation to grow in Christ and become effective witnesses for Him."

Pastor Benjamin sensed God's call to pastoral ministry after years of serving in the local church. Having grown up in Wesley Methodist Church, he first served as a youth leader before joining the church staff as a youth worker and later serving in pastoral ministry across Discipleship & Nurture, Pastoral Care and Small Group Ministry. On 1 August 2018, he was ordained as a Methodist pastor.

Much of his ministry has been spent journeying with the next generation. Over the years, he has worked closely with children, tweens, youths and young adults, while also gaining experience overseeing Cell Group Ministry in previous church appointments. Through every season, one conviction has remained constant: the call to disciple and equip people so they can grow into effective witnesses for Christ.

What drew Pastor Benjamin to Living Waters was the church's clear mission of reaching out to the ACS (Independent) community and the boarding school. He sees this as a significant mission field that God has entrusted to the church and is excited to be part of what God is doing through that ministry.

Away from church, Benjamin enjoys spending time with his family, going for runs and keeping fishes. He and his wife, Claire, have two young children, Charis and Cephas. For Benjamin, family life isn't separate from ministry—it is very much a part of it.
